Everywhere you turn, business owners are saying the same thing:
“We hire, we train—but our young hires just don’t take the work seriously.”
It’s not a myth. It’s not an exaggeration. It’s a quiet productivity crisis happening across Africa’s small and growing businesses.
From Kenya to Nigeria, Ghana to South Africa, the consistent feedback is clear:
Poor work ethic. Bad attitudes. Zero ownership.
The result?
At Africa Digital Growth, we understand this bottleneck is not just a talent issue—it’s a growth issue.
If the youth entering your business can’t meet expectations, then no amount of strategy, funding, or infrastructure will move your company forward.
But what if there was a better way to hire?
We don’t just talk about this challenge.
We’ve solved it.
Our recruitment solution focuses on what truly matters: workplace readiness, ethical behavior, and attitude.
We specialize in helping you identify the rare, high-performing youth that you might otherwise overlook. These are not just the ones with polished CVs—but those who:
How? Through our proprietary, battle-tested four-to-five-day evaluation framework that screens for:
It’s not about school grades.
It’s about finding people who will actually help you grow your business.
You source the candidates however you prefer.
Referrals, job boards, LinkedIn—your call.
Send us your shortlist (up to 50 candidates per position).
We put them through our rigorous behavioral and competency testing process.
We deliver your top 1-3 performers, with detailed reports showing why they passed and how they’ll perform in your business.
Unlike traditional recruitment that focuses on “skills” or “education,” we focus on character and execution.
Because in most African businesses, the biggest failure point isn’t knowledge—it’s attitude.
Our approach:
Finds the doers, not just the talkers
Spots the quiet high performers who don’t shine on paper
Filters out those who lack follow-through, self-discipline, or a sense of responsibility
We charge just 15% of the youth’s annual gross salary for each successful hire.
And we back our work with 2 free replacement swaps, just in case you need a better fit.
But honestly?
Our clients rarely need them.
We don’t just guess.
We test, analyze, and prove the candidate’s potential—before they set foot in your office.
Businesses across Africa with 3–100 employees
Leaders tired of “soft” hires who can’t take ownership
Founders ready to scale but blocked by low workforce quality
Hiring managers who’ve been burned before
If you’re serious about growing a business,
you need people who treat your business like it’s theirs.
Many companies claim to do recruitment.
We don’t do sourcing. We do precision filtering.
Your team handles sourcing.
We handle truth.
Send us your shortlist—we’ll tell you who’s really worth betting on.
Africa Digital Growth exists to grow the backbone of Africa’s economies—its businesses.
We believe one of the most powerful ways to do that is to fix the quality of young talent entering the workforce.
We’ve built a system to do that—affordably, predictably, and at scale.
Let’s grow your team the right way.
1. Do you help us find candidates (sourcing)?
No. We do not provide sourcing services. Your team is responsible for attracting and shortlisting candidates. Once you send us your list (up to 50 candidates), we handle all testing, filtering, and final recommendations
2. What exactly do you test for?
We assess candidates over 4–5 days for:
We simulate real-world work challenges to ensure each candidate is tested for the demands of a modern workplace.
3. What if none of our shortlisted candidates pass your tests?
It happens very rarely, but if no one meets the standard, we’ll let you know exactly why—and you can send a second shortlist at no additional cost.
4. How much do you charge?
We charge 15% of the annual gross salary of each successful hire. This is a one-time fee. The fee only applies if you decide to hire a candidate we’ve approved.
5. Do you offer replacements if a hire doesn’t work out?
Yes. We offer up to two free swaps within the first 60 days of hire, just in case a candidate doesn’t integrate well or perform as expected.
6. How long does the testing process take?
Our full candidate testing and evaluation process takes approximately 4–5 business days from the time we receive your shortlist.
7. What type of businesses do you work with?
We work with African businesses of all sizes, from startups with 3–5 employees to established companies with 100+ staff. What they all share is a need for diligent, high-performing young talent.
8. Can we request testing for multiple roles at the same time?
Yes. If you’re hiring for different roles, just submit separate shortlists for each role. Each role will be evaluated independently based on the key performance traits required.
9. What industries do you specialize in?
We’re industry-agnostic but have successfully supported clients in:
What matters most is the role, not the industry.
10. How do we get started?
Start by filling out our Intake Form. We’ll review your submission and schedule a brief discovery call to confirm fit. Once approved, you can submit your shortlist and we’ll begin testing.
