Modular Market Furniture Technician

Role Overview

Join our farm workshop as a full time modular market furniture technician. You will build assemble and finish modular market furniture and general farm fixtures following company instructions. 

Key responsibilities

  • Build assemble and finish modular market furniture and farm fixtures to specification
  • Read and follow basic plans and site instructions supplied by the supervisor
  • Measure cut join and fasten timber and related materials using hand and power tools
  • Maintain workshop order perform routine tool checks and keep a clean safe workspace
  • Record daily work logs and materials usage for supervisor sign off
  • Support site installations and routine repairs when requested

Required skills and qualities

  • Minimum two years practical carpentry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with common carpentry tools and safe tool handling
  • Ability to follow basic measurements and simple plans
  • Dependable punctual attendance and willingness to work under supervision
  • Good physical fitness for workshop and outdoor work
  • Basic communication in English or Swahili
  • Willingness to follow confidentiality rules about designs and methods

Working hours and terms

  • Full time position with a three month probation period
  • Standard workshop hours 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday with a lunch break
  • Saturday work may be required to meet production needs and will be paid as overtime in line with company policy and Kenyan labour law
  • Company provides core power tools and shared equipment
  • Salary competitive and commensurate with experience

Confidentiality and intellectual property

Confidentiality is required. Candidates will sign a confidentiality agreement and an IP assignment clause as part of onboarding. Do not share company drawings templates or photos without written approval.
