I run a dairy goat farm and was struggling to manage the production side profitably, given that except for my passion for raising goats, I do not have a background in agriculture or animal production. I have been receiving coaching mainly to streamline my farm operations, establish farm processes and procedures through optimisation of technology, staff recruitment, production planning, daily animal management, sourcing of goat breeds internationally and future-proofing my animal farm. I am not where I want to be yet, but from the work of the last few months I am more confident because I have detailed processes in place for managing the animals and the farm in general. My staff and I are also clear about the expectations and goals which helps with pushing a common agenda. Two, through my Mentor, I have established contact with providers of high-yielding goat breeds from two different countries and we are already in discussion on the importation process. For me, I just love that I have a personal coach/mentor who is walking with me on this journey to turn my passion into an profitable and impactful biz.
